UK Bloke’s new album- Calling Wolf

2/28/21

Artist and Producer Rob Jackson has served hundreds of artists on and off the stage since 1999. Rob’s label Noise opened this month and is presenting two new albums (UK Bloke and Calling Wolf) on March 17, 2021 (soft online release) now available on http://ukbloke.bandcamp.com . “Due to unstable market conditions, sponsors have become essential to stimulating job creation for artists by offsetting production costs” Rob explains.

Noise, reportedly commissioned over 23 artists and 5 studios in 3 countries to build songs. Many artist and engineers even volunteered time. The blogs at www.bandsthatrock6.wixsite.com/ripstar reflect the labels mission, announces several new sponsors, and provides many helpful tips for new artists along with label updates.

Rob and his team are charting a course to welcome an estimated 5 million listeners in the next year- up from the 1 million. Rob said, “the immediate goal is to sell 5,000 album copies by December -our official public launch date and grow fans. Once we do that, or otherwise license songs a few times, we can expand the new label to present opportunities for more up-in-coming artists in 2022”.

Album titled Calling Wolf features the poetry of John Cheetham and delivers new ways of uniting thru music. Rob said, “looking back on the challenge of transforming poetry to lyrics and songs has given me a deepened respect for the artists that helped cover my songs over the last decade. Teamwork and collaboration is key!” John Cheetham went on to be interviewed and featured on multiple radio programs in the US and in England. He also continues to be featured in news media globally as a result of his poetic contributions. The second album features Rob’s lyrics and the music of composers and other producers he collaborates with in addition to some of his own musical contributions titled UK Bloke. A third album is also already underway titled When it Rains it Pours. Rob said, “this album is a tribute to my new favorite band Big Thief-they inspired it. You’ll have to revisit that album in bandcamp in 10 months. Many of my songs are inspired by specific artists like Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, The Beatles, Doors, Dylan, Beethoven,…so on ...I’m not sure 100 songs will do them justice, but it’s worth a try. Music is medicine and were all the patients”.
